Each child is taught in an age-appropriate environment. From Nursery to Grade 4 our desire is to see each child be cared for in an individual way. Each of our FBC Kids leaders has been through an extensive orientation process and has been screened to work with your child. Each child will be cared for and taught God’s Word in a safe, loving and encouraging environment.
Childcare is available during 9:30 & 11:00 Worship Services. Security stickers are available at the check-in Kiosk located at the Kids Entrance.
Childcare is available for those attending Wednesday evening activities from 6:00-7:30pm. Security stickers are available at the check-in Kiosk located at the Kids Entrance.
We love our 1st thru 4th graders. This is a time when it is crucial that a solid foundation of biblical truths are laid in their lives. We seek to accomplish this by:
• Providing a safe and fun environment where kids can learn to be more like Jesus
• Upholding that the Bible is true and teaching kids important stories from the Old and New Testaments, and
• Leading kids in worship through song and other creative arts
• We would like to invite you to come and be a part of what God is doing in the lives of kids at FBC.
Sunday mornings are a time for your kids to dig deep into the Bible. We start off this time with a time of Worship through singing and games followed by the kids breaking off into smaller groups to learn Bible stories and how they can apply the Bible to their lives. We meet upstairs in the children’s building and offer two different Bible Fellowship times: 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Both of these hours are the same, so parents are encouraged to take their kids to worship.
9:30-10:30am & 11:00am-12:00pm

On Wednesday nights we seek to provide a fun atmosphere where kids can use their gifts and talents to worship and learn about Jesus.
About the Edge Preteen Ministry
The Edge is a ministry at FBC Burleson geared specifically for 5th & 6th graders- Preteens. Preteens are a special group of students that are no longer little children, but not quite teenagers. The purpose of the Edge ministry is to provide a super fun, safe but exciting environment for preteens to develop their faith in Christ.
To prepare preteens for their teenage years by equipping them with a biblical foundation that allows them to examine your heart, to develop a relationship with Christ, and then act upon it by growing spiritually and sharing their faith with others.
Preteen ministry teaches Preteens to follow FBC’s vision
Believe: to know who Jesus is and how to make Him first in their lives.
Connect: to provide many opportunities to fellowship, strengthened old friendships and making new ones.
Serve: to provide opportunities to serve both our church and surrounding communities.
Go: to challenge them to share their faith with others.
We also want our Preteens to feel Accepted, Belonged, and Cared For.
Sundays 9:30am & 11:00am
• Meet in the Edge room located upstairs behind the worship center.
• The curriculum that is taught in meant to address the real issues related to preteens and their spiritual development.
On Sunday mornings, our time is broken is broken into two sections:
Large Group which allows preteens to mingle all together, boys and girls and 5th & 6th grades, to talk with each other and to introduce the morning Bible study topic.
Small Group which allows preteens to meet in small group, divided by gender and sometimes grade, to dive into God’s Word. Our adult leaders are enthusiastic and dedicated to helping preteens connect the Truth of the Bible to what’s really happening in your life. It is in the small groups where preteens are challenged to think about their spiritual condition and grow in the relationship with Christ.
Wednesday nights the goal is to challenge preteens to know fundamentals of the faith. We ask hard questions like; Why do we go to church? Was the universe really created by God? Why does God allow about things to happen? How do we know Christianity is the right way to believe instead of at another religion? And other thought provoking issues and questions like these. We open God’s Word to see what God has to say about it. We will, at times, break up into small groups to further discuss the topic.
We begin at 6:00 in the Edge room and then move to the Gym where you will pick up your Preteen at 7:30.
Full Time Child Care 6:30am – 6pm
Children enrolled in full time classes learn and grow together in small classes taught by loving teachers. Age appropriate curriculum is used and activities are planned to encourage learning and discovery.
Children in two-year-old classes discover their world by playing and learning together in centers. Teachers use the Wee Learn curriculum to lesson plans, including a Bible story and weekly theme. Music, outdoor play, buggy rides and the indoor playroom are an exciting part of their day.
Teachers in the three-year-old classes will be using the ABeka curriculum as their guide for planning exciting weekly lesson plans. Activities include Chapel, music class, gym and playground time, circle time and learning centers.
Pre-K Classes also use the ABeka curriculum as they experience an exciting year of learning. Their activities also includes a daily Bible story, circle time, music class, Chapel, gym and playground time, learning centers and many fun hands-on-learning activities.
